“Intercultural Communication in China and Southeast Asia”

Seminar leader and trainer: Edith Anna Feldhofer

Edith Anna Feldhofer lived and worked in the 90’s in Hong Kong and Singapore. She got to know and to love China and the Southeast Asian region for its cultural, social and economic characteristics. She was most recently managing director of an export company for the European market, mainly selling textiles, healthcare products and premiums. Among other things, she was responsible for an exclusive nightwear line, which was sold by “Palmers” in Austria.

Through further business education and training from its site in Vienna, she has remained until today closely connected to the Asian continent.

As self-reliant experienced manager Mrs. Feldhofer often could witness the mistakes which are made due to cultural differences in dealing with Chinese and Southeast Asians. She passes on her experience both in intercultural seminars as well as a consultant to companies and businessmen.

Background as a trainer:

Since 2006 she has been in the pool of trainers at WIFI Vienna with emphasis on “Intercultural Communication Asia”.

Course objective:

They acquire practical knowledge of the business mentality of the Chinese and Southeast Asian customers, suppliers and employees. Detailed information is provided in the seminar, practical knowledge is imparted, best practices are identified and specific questions answered.
 
Goal: acquire practical knowledge of the business mentality of your Chinese and Southeast Asian customers, suppliers and employees. They show expertise at the end of meetings, and the team work with Asians and learn how they can build their business successfully and maintain long term.
 
Participants: International oriented practitioners from all areas. Interested persons or employees of companies that have active business and are in contact with China and Southeast Asia in contact, and who want to expand their knowledge and understanding of the Chinese and Southeast Asian cultures.
